Embracing the Digital Evolution: A Developer’s Journey

I’m Stefan, an adaptable developer seeking constant evolution. I’m obsessed with how things work, and excited to understand more about our new digital landscape every day. I’ve gone from low-code to high-code to agentic assistance and I’m loving every step on the path. I’ve delved into learning and teaching my team to use Prisma ODM while we created a New Orleans visiting and itinerary application, also adding a “suggestion” feature that shows the user random excursions based on their interests, and am currently delving into Claude, creating custom skills and global features that help me learn and question everything efficiently.

Each of these experiences came from a desire to understand and create the digital bits and pieces that make up the blood of the information age and beyond. With everything stacking onto and multiplying what we knew, it’s invigorating to see the future come alive while adding my own spin and version of it, poco a poco.

My place in the ecosystem

I build systems that make work easier. I’m an orchestrator who builds workflow aids to help people save time, resources, and mental bandwidth; run choice analyses and direct research to make sure informed decisions are made; and ease load for users, stakeholders, and teammates alike.

Most recently, I built agentic workflow flags that save subscription tokens, eliminate API tokens, and optimize context while maintaining transparency for human oversight (Relay) on one end and independently presented a cost-benefit analysis for WooCommerce vs PM Pro for the New Orleans Musicians’ Union on the other. Many developers are good problem solvers by nature, but my main aim is to work upstream of the problem: to catch issues before they become problems, make problems easier to surface, and make sure the solutions don’t become problems themselves. I’m currently in search of a Workflow Engineer (Automation Engineer, Solutions Engineer, whatever name you prefer) role where I can build systems and advise on automation at scale, bringing ease to the work of any team around me.
